Our behavioral health specialists promote the treatment of mental and substance use disorders by supporting those who experience and/or are in recovery from these conditions, along with their families and communities. Clients are offered a vast array of treatment options to favor resilience and well-being.
When both emotional and substance use disorders co-exist, the model of treatment is known as dual diagnosis treatment. Our comprehensive adult therapy services include individual and group counseling, along with medication management.
ADJUNCTIVE ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUG SERVICES
Supportive treatment services are offered, such as relapse prevention, strengthening families sessions, and life skills.
ASSESSMENT
Individual evaluations are conducted to determine the nature and extent of the client’s misuse of and/or addiction to alcohol and/or other drugs. Assessment services shall consist of time-limited, structured, face-to-face (virtual during COVID-19) sessions.
CASE MANAGEMENT
Understanding that we alone cannot respond to all client needs, our dedicated case managers meet individually with each client to determine how other healthcare and community organizations can assist. Our case managers are experienced in making those vital referrals in such a way as to ensure privacy.
CRISIS INTERVENTION
In response to a crisis or emergency situation experienced by the client, a family member, and/or significant other, Eden counselors are available to assist. An evaluation is made of what happened during the crisis and the individual's response(s) to it.
A reaction to a crisis can include:
FAMILY COUNSELING
Relationships are often broken when addiction and/or mental health concerns exist. Family counseling, under the guidance of a trained counselor, allows individuals and their family members and/or significant others to address relationship issues for the purpose of promoting recovery and healing of all parties.
GROUP COUNSELING
Small groups consisting of two to twelve individuals and the counselor are designed to assist the client in achieving treatment objectives by discussing and exploring problems with each other. Individuals learn to better understand themselves and their relationships so that they can make more informed, healthy choices. By bringing several individuals together, the client can benefit from shared support that instills hope.
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
Utilizing special skills to assist an individual in achieving overall treatment objectives, the client is lead to explore alcohol, drug, and/or addiction problems and their ramifications. The counselor meets privately with the client to exam attitudes and feelings, consider alternative solutions and decision-making, and/or introduce didactic materials.
INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT
Structured group alcohol and drug addiction activities and services are provided with a licensed counselor for a minimum of eight hours per week/at least three days per week. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) addresses addiction and mental health concerns in a supportive group setting to help relapse management and strengthen coping strategies.
MEDICATION ASSISTED TREATMENT
Medical/somatic services means medical services, medication administration services, medication assisted treatment, and the dispensing of medications in an alcohol and other drug treatment program.
URINALYSIS
Random urine drug screens (UDS) are required to ensure the treatment plan is working. The urine specimen detects the presence (or absence) of alcohol and other drugs.
Our mental health professionals assess, evaluate and treat clients with emotional concerns in a supportive and healing environment.
