Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Medication used to assist a person with certain chemical addictions is the treatment of choice based on extensive human clinical trials with alcohol, tobacco and opiate addictions. Simply said, MAT for alcohol, tobacco and opiate addictions is the standard of care based on several professional institutions, including the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatrists and the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA). Eden Counseling Centers uses approved medications combined with individual and group counseling to give patients the maximum benefit in their attempt to recovery from the ravages of a single or multiple chemical addiction(s).

- Acamprosate (Campral), Naltrexone (Revia, Vivitrol IM injection)
OPIATE (MAT)
- Buprenorphine (Suboxone, Subutex)

TOBACCO (MAT)
- Bupropion (Zyban, Wellbutrin)
- Nicotine Replacement Treatment with patches, inhalers, spray, gum
- Varenicline (Chantix)
